Overview

The Busan International AI Film Festival (BIAIF) introduces films created using artificial intelligence technologies, exploring how AI can be utilized in the creative process. We look forward to receiving your innovative works that demonstrate new cinematic possibilities through the convergence of AI and film.

• Submission Period: July 16 – September 7, 2025, 23:59:59 (KST)
• Eligibility Open to all individuals and team, domestic and International

• Submission Method Online via the official BIAIF website

Entry Requirements

• Only one entry per individual or group
• Minimum runtime: 3 minutes
• The film must partially or fully utilize AI technologies* A description of the AI technology used is required
• The film must have been produced after August 2024
• All genres are accepted

Support & Benefits

Screening Grant

• USD $1,000 for all selected films
• USD $3,000 Audience Award* ased on official voting during the festival

Selected Films Receive

• Official certification as a BIAIF screening selection
• Invitation and screening during the festival
• Opportunity to participate in audience Q&A sessions (GV)
• Networking opportunities with creators

How to Submit

Visit the BIAIF official website -> SUBMIT -> Apply

Screening Preview Submission

• Upload to an online video platform (e.g., YouTube, Vimeo), and submit the screening link. If private, please include the password.
• The screener must remain available until November 30, 2025
• If the film contains dialogue, English subtitles are mandatory (except for dialogue originally in English)

Selection Process

Review Procedure

• st Round : File review* Check for eligibility and inclusion of AI technology explanation
• 2nd Round : Jury evaluation

Disqualification Criteria

• Incomplete or false information in the application
• Legal issues related to plagiarism, copyrights, portrait rights, or distribution rights
• Submitting multiple works under the same applicant
• Acts that contradict the purpose of the festival or cause social controversy
• Failure to respond to official communication within 48 hours or after two contact attempts

Schedule

Notices

ㆍAll copyrights and portrait rights related to submitted works are the responsibility of the applicant. Selection may be canceled, and grants may be revoked in case of issues.
ㆍIf the applicant provides false information or fails to respond to requests, selection may be revoked.
ㆍSelected works may be edited and used free of charge for promotional purposes through the festival's official channels (website, YouTube, social media, press materials, etc.).
ㆍSelected creators must actively cooperate with any additional festival-related programs if requested.
